According to Makoto Shichida, rapid computer-like calculation is a characteristic of the high speed automatic process function of the right brain. You infants can be taught to recognise the number of dots on cards up to 100. Eventually they can learn the answers to complex arithmetic problems before they acquire any conscious understanding of mathematics. The Shichida Method teaches infants Math using a rapid flash card program.
Shichida believed that all children can be strong in Math if they are provided the right foundation in early childhood. Shichida’s Math Kit makes it easy because the cards have been organised into daily lessons, ready for use. The kit also comes with a DVD demonstrating how to hold the cards and how quickly to flip them.
